GO BIG ON CONFETTI

A standout moment from Charlie & Steve's wedding!

Forget what the internet recommends for confetti weight per guest—let's double it. Picture two handfuls each. I always suggest tossing it up, not directly at you. This not only allows the confetti to gracefully fall but also avoids those unintentional scrunched-up faces!

BE READY 1 HOUR BEFORE

Wedding prep is a whirlwind! To ensure ample time for capturing those precious moments with your wedding party before the ceremony kicks off, aim to be ready an hour in advance. This extra time ensures you're content with every detail, giving us the perfect window to create those stunning portraits.

SENTIMENTAL ITEMS

Keeping your accessories, veil, and shoes neatly together is a small but meaningful step that allows me easy access in the morning. It's usually the first scene I capture, and I'm all about a calm, unobtrusive approach. No cameras pointed in your face from the offset—just a gentle narrative unfolding. These initial images, filled with all the delicate details, set the stage for the beautiful story of your day.

TAKE A MOMENT

After tying the knot, carve out a moment for just the two of you. It's a chance to let the adrenaline settle and relish those initial moments of married bliss. A perfect window could be just before the confetti toss, which conveniently allows us to gather the guests outside. Alternatively, consider stealing a quiet moment right after the confetti toss—a precious pause to bask in the joy of your newlywed status.

EMBRACE THE WEATHER

Embracing all the elements is key, especially considering the unpredictable weather in the UK, even during the summer! If getting wet isn't your preference, we can always find a workaround for outdoor photos. Many venues offer outdoor shelter or have beautiful indoor spots. However, if you're game for an outdoor adventure, count me in—I'm ready to capture those unique moments rain or shine!

SNOG THEIR FACE OFF

Now, that's what I call passion! I understand that not everyone is into PDA, so I won't be pushing you into a full-on snogging session. My goal is to create an environment where you feel entirely at ease. If you're up for it and comfortable enough to share a big, heartfelt smooch with your newly betrothed, we'll capture some truly stunning shots. Your comfort is key, and I'm here to ensure your photos reflect the authenticity of your love story.

TAKE YOUR TIME

Wedding day anxiety can be overwhelming, potentially leading to a rushed walk down the aisle. Pause, take a deep breath, and give yourself the time you need. When it comes to the "you may now kiss" moment, make it count. A quick peck may be hard to capture on camera, so aim for about 4-5 seconds—a lingering kiss that not only ensures a beautiful photo but also allows you to truly savor that cherished moment.

YOUR WEDDING YOUR RULES

Follow your hearts and do what feels right for both of you on your wedding day. Balancing everyone's expectations can be challenging, but the most crucial aspect is making decisions that resonate with you both. Remember, the spotlight belongs to the two of you. If there are traditions that don't resonate with you, feel free to skip them. Conversely, if you have unconventional ideas, go for it! This is YOUR day, and it should reflect your unique love story and preferences.
