About Me

Hello there lovelies!

I'm Phoebe, a self-taught photographer, mother, wife and animal lover.

I'm a bit of a paradox—I'd describe myself as an introverted extrovert. While I find solace in quiet moments, I absolutely thrive on connecting with wonderful people, especially when it comes to capturing the magic of their special day through my lens.

Photography isn't just a job for me; it's a passionate love affair that I've nurtured since my teenage years. Back then, I dreamt of a career as a fashion photographer, captivated by the artistry and storytelling of photography. I was never an academic person and have always found peace in art and creation. Being told that I have dyslexia at the age of 6, it was almost inevitable that I was going to end up finding a career aligned with my strengths. Fast forward to today, and I've discovered my true calling in the world of weddings. Professionally capturing them since July 2021.

A little bit of career history; my first job was as a receptionist at a Citroen dealership, which is actually where I met my now husband. Then I moved on to retail, Clare's Accessories to be more specific (that experience scarred me for life, but that's a story for another time). Working in retail and hospitality really opens your eyes, I think it should be mandatory for everyone to have worked in either sector for at least a year of their lives. I genuinely think that would solve a lot of the worlds problems! From 2015-2020 I was a stay at home mum with a very part time waitressing job, up until the pandemic. Now this is where things took a curveball and I don't mean in the obvious world altering virus kind of way. After mine and my husbands wedding, our photographer asked us to 'model' for a photography workshop she was running, we thought it would be fun so jumped at the chance. After that we did over 40 shoots with different photographers. That was up until 2022, it was such a fun time. (If you fancy being nosy, our instagram was @thegriffs_). Having had that experience makes me think about photography from a different perspective, knowing exactly how you're feeling with a camera pointed at you. That's really what pushed me to pick up my camera and set up my own business! I'm much better suited to being my own boss and making my own rules.

Beyond the lens, I'm a homebody, cherishing the simple pleasures of life and embracing my creature comforts. I'm a keen cook and certainly show my love through food. When I'm not immersed in the world of weddings, you'll likely find me cozied up with my family, eating a massive bowl of pasta rewatching Parent Trap for the 100th time.

Each wedding is unique and I consider it an honour to create a visual representation that reflects your relationship. From the candid moments, to the tears of joy, I am dedicated to freezing those fleeting moments in time. My aim is not just to document your day but to craft a narrative that reflects the genuine connection and joy that defines your love.

Now, it's your turn! I'm eager to hear your story, dreams and vision for your big day.

I look forward to creating magic with you.
